Mr. Brown brings to MFA over twelve years of public accounting experience. He has a strong background in technical accounting issues and SEC reporting matters as well as extensive experience executing large, multinational audits in a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, life science, engineering, consumer products and high technology.
As a senior audit manager for MFA, Tim is responsible for monitoring the entire audit engagement process for both our publicly traded and privately held clients. He works closely with clients to deliver on the MFA promise of unmatched service throughout and beyond the audit process. Whether it is assistance with meeting filing requirements or resolving technical accounting questions surrounding a transaction, Tim provides those qualities sought from a trusted adviser. Tim also possesses the requisite knowledge and deep experience to assist clients in any number of special projects with regard to business combinations, revenue recognition, long-lived assets, leasing and complex debt and equity transactions.
Prior to joining MFA, Tim served as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s national office in New York City where the focus of his work was on technical accounting and SEC reporting matters. He also spent six years in KPMG’s Boston office where he provided integrated audits for large public and privately held multinational corporations.
