Ms. Almaraz’s audit and consulting experience includes a wide range of privately held and publicly traded enterprises, including professional service and nonprofit organizations as well as manufacturing and distribution, software development and construction companies. With over ten years of public accounting experience, Jo-Ann works closely with MFA clients, assisting them in meeting filing requirements, performing audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures and other attestation services. She also prepares and reviews financial statements for our clients and is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of attest engagements.
Jo-Ann is actively involved in the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) where she assists in the creation and coordination of events and publications relative to the cultivation and advancement of women in accounting. Prior to MFA, Jo-Ann worked for McGladrey & Pullen, LLP where she led audit and consulting engagements for clients in the nonprofit, manufacturing, software development and government contracting sectors.
